BT Summer Break 2020
Aug 23 – Sep 27 all-day

1 John 5:4 – For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

To the beloved Beulah Tabernacle Family and Faith Partners,

I cannot thank you enough for your tremendous support during the last six months as we braced ourselves and endured this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.  From March 2020 to now, we have seen and experienced the untimely passing away of members, family, friends, pastors and loved ones from around the country and beyond.  We’ve cried, we’ve called, we’ve prayed and we’ve encouraged each other, we’ve even extended the Love of God to our community by sharing much needed food and school supplies through our PROJECT HOPE 2020.   We don’t know when this pandemic will be over and  while this horrific world impacting plague has shaken and yet shakes economies, governments and the hearts of people around the world yet  nevertheless, the Lord has been right by our side and we’ve held each other up!!!

I am beyond grateful and proud of all of our BT RESPONDERS  & FRONT-LINERS who stepped up to the plate, assisted when called upon and stood faithfully by us in actions, words and spirit as we ventured into new-normals and previously unexplored territories and were sorely tested and tried. You have had to juggle family issues, work challenges, school responsibilities, ministry imperatives and your personal aspirations during one of the worst times we’ve ever experienced in our lives – and you’re still standing!!!! BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!

BT Leaders, a very special note of thanks to you. Some have done extremely well and have gone way above and beyond the call of duty – you know who you are, so do I and so does the Lord.

Although you have been valiant, I know that we all are tired and need a brake.  To that end, we will only be having Sunday Worship for the next couple of weeks – all other weekly activities will be temporarily suspended at this time.

Family, take your much deserved break.  For now, see you Sundays at 12noon for Sunday worship.  We’ll resume our full schedule the week of September 27th.

Love and prayers always,

Bishop Horace C. Michael, Sr. Pastor – Beulah Tabernacle

Day of Prayer and Fasting For BT
Sep 29 all-day

JOIN US EACH TUESDAY AS WE TURN DOWN OUR PLATES, GET ON OUR KNEES AND CRY OUT TO THE LORD ON BEHALF OF OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, CO-WORKERS AND EVEN OURSELVES.

THIS IS A LIQUIDS ONLY FAST FROM THE TIME WE WAKE UP UNTIL OUR PRAYER CALL IS OVER.

BELIEVING GOD FOR THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS, THE SALVATION OF SINNERS, DELIVERANCE FOR THE BOUND, HEALING FOR THE SICK AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL WHO WILL TURN IN TRUST AND FAITH TO JESUS.

MORE THINGS ARE DONE THROUGH PRAYER THAN THIS WORLD WILL EVER KNOW!

“Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.” (Matthew 6:16-18)

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping and mourning;” (Joel 2:12)

“So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.” (Daniel 9:3)

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: (Ezekiel 22:30a)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. (2 Chronicles 7:14-15)

Your Prayers Won’t Get Off the Ground
1-3 “Shout! A full-throated shout!
Hold nothing back—a trumpet-blast shout!
Tell my people what’s wrong with their lives,
face my family Jacob with their sins!
They’re busy, busy, busy at worship,
and love studying all about me.
To all appearances they’re a nation of right-living people—
law-abiding, God-honoring.
They ask me, ‘What’s the right thing to do?’
and love having me on their side.
But they also complain,
‘Why do we fast and you don’t look our way?
Why do we humble ourselves and you don’t even notice?’

3-5 “Well, here’s why:

“The bottom line on your ‘fast days’ is profit.
You drive your employees much too hard.
You fast, but at the same time you bicker and fight.
You fast, but you swing a mean fist.
The kind of fasting you do
won’t get your prayers off the ground.
Do you think this is the kind of fast day I’m after:
a day to show off humility?
To put on a pious long face
and parade around solemnly in black?
Do you call that fasting,
a fast day that I, God, would like?

6-9 “This is the kind of fast day I’m after:
to break the chains of injustice,
get rid of exploitation in the workplace,
free the oppressed, cancel debts.
What I’m interested in seeing you do is:
sharing your food with the hungry,
inviting the homeless poor into your homes,
putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad,
being available to your own families.
Do this and the lights will turn on,
and your lives will turn around at once.
Your righteousness will pave your way.
The God of glory will secure your passage.
Then when you pray, God will answer.
You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, ‘Here I am.’

A Full Life in the Emptiest of Places
9-12 “If you get rid of unfair practices,
quit blaming victims,
quit gossiping about other people’s sins,
If you are generous with the hungry
and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out,
Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness,
your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight.
I will always show you where to go.
I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—
firm muscles, strong bones.
You’ll be like a well-watered garden,
a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew,
rebuild the foundations from out of your past.
You’ll be known as those who can fix anything,
restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate,
make the community livable again.  Isaiah 58:1-12 The Message (MSG)

THE SACRED OBSERVANCE OF HOLY COMMUNION

1 Corinthians 11:23-25

23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
